Brewer's Yeast is valuable for every member of the family including
your dog. It is one of the best sources of B vitamins and minerals,
particularly selenium. It contains 16 amino acids, 14 minerals and 17
vitamins. It is used to prevent constipation and is a good source of
enzyme producing agents. It is also one of the best sources of RNA, a
nucleic acid that is important in keeping the body immune to degenerative
disease. Brewer’s Yeast may account for many scientific reports of health
improvement and the slowing down of the aging process. This may account
for its being termed the "youth" vitamin. It is said to help to discourage
fleas and promote a healthy and shiny coat. A Good source of proteins and
B-vitamins.
Flaxseed is the richest vegetable source of Omega-3 essential fatty
acids, "the good fat, " resulting in excellent skin and coat. This seed

joints and therefore allow dogs to stay more flexible in later years.
Additionally, flaxseed promotes strong nails, bones, teeth and healthy
skin.

that protects cell membranes from free-radical attack, and may be
beneficial in preventing certain diseases. Plus, peanut butter is a super
source of Biotin, also known as vitamin H, which is said to be helpful for
thin, splitting nails and good for the coat.
Tomatoes specifically tomato pastes and tomato purees, contain a
naturally occurring antioxidant called Lycopene. Lycopene has the ability
to neutralize free-radicals before these dangerous chemicals can cause the
cells permanent damage. They are an excellent source of soluble fiber, a
necessary part of every dog’s diet. Plus, they are a good source of of
nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin A, and lycopene.
Carob comes from the fruit of an evergreen tree native to the
Mediterranean region. It is a safe substitute to chocolate for dogs as it
does not contains any of the dangerous ingredients found in the cocoa
bean, like allergy-producing antibodies or the caffeine stimulant
theobromine, which can be fatal to some dogs. The tree’s large, long
bean-like pods are picked, dried then ground into a fine powder that looks
very similar to cocoa. It contains as much vitamin B1 as asparagus or
strawberries, the same amount of niacin as lima beans, lentils or peas,
and more vitamin A than eggplant, asparagus and beets. It’s also high in
vitamin B2, calcium, magnesium and iron.
Garlic helps prevent heart disease by lowering cholesterol levels
and blocking formation of fatty deposits in the coronary arteries. It also
boosts the level of T-Cells, a critical component of the immune system. It
relieves respiratory problems, strengthens the heart, relieves arthritis,
and works as an intestinal cleanser and parasite preventative both
internally and externally. It contains sulfur compounds, which are known
to have significant anti-inflammatory properties. "For me, feeding my dogs
garlic enabled me to have healthier, flea-free dogs. You see, the garlic
makes dogs an undesirable food source because it is intolerable to fleas.
The fleas are repelled by the odor of the garlic." Also an excellent
source of phytonutrients.
Barley this ancient grain contains No Gluten (A Common Allergen).
It is especially rich in the B vitamins, which are needed equally by every
cell in the body. They are a good source of fiber, protein, carbohydrates,
unsaturated fatty acids, and minerals including calcium, phosphorus and
iron. When you use the whole grain, numerous nutrients such as the B
vitamins, heart healthy vitamin E, chromium, magnesium, manganese, copper,
selenium, zinc, silicon, and numerous enzymes are intact. In addition,
grains improve bowl function, help to eliminate constipation, fight skin
inflammation, help stabilize blood sugar levels, and are anti-viral and
anti-oxidant. Antioxidants block genetic damage caused by free radicals
that could lead to some cancers. Diets high in antioxidant-rich foods have
been linked to lower rates of lung, colon and stomach cancers.
Sesame and sunflower seeds are found in some of our biscuits .
These seeds are the ripened ovules of the plants. The most important
nutritive elements of these edible seeds are the B Complex, Vitamin A,
Vitamin D, and Vitamin E. Rich in proteins and unsaturated fats, these
seeds also have the minerals phosphorus, calcium, iron, fluorine, iodine,
potassium, magnesium, and zinc. For example, sesame seeds are rich in
